2-Step Bird punch card

This is a card I did for my stamp club girls the other night. I wanted to show them a different way to use the 2-Step Bird punch. They loved it!!! The petals for the tulips is the wing of the bird.

Stamp club scrapbook pages

This is the 2 page spread that we did at stamp club last night. I told everyone that you could change the stamp set and the designer paper and use the same layout. The ideas are endless.

Over the top card

This is a card that I found on a fellow demonstrators site and thought it would be fun to make. It's a little over the top from what I have been making recently. It really wasn't that hard to make though. I used the Bigshot to make the flowers and emboss the card front. The leaves are made with the Large oval punch and the crimper. So I guess it looks over the top, but it really isn't too bad.

If you would like to learn how to make this card, contact me and we can set up a fun night together with your family and friends.

And some more...

I only have a few more to show you, then on to some items I stamped myself. Yes, I actually got into my stamp room and stamped yesterday. I have stamp club next week and had to get my butt in gear and create. Have a good Saturday, it's raining here.

Shoe Box Swap

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in a shoe box swap. Over the next several days, I will be sharing the cards I was able to make. I am not sure who was the designer of each card, but if it was you and you are looking at these, Thank You for the inspiration!!

All of these cards use a new stamp set from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.

Grunge Rock

When looking through the new catalog, I really wanted to get a stamp set that I could use for all my nephews, and I have quite a few of them, and my son. This set caught my eye and I thought it would be perfect. I love the Extreme Elements set and this kind of goes along with it. I don't know about you, but making cards for boys is HARD!!!

I purchased that clear mounted set and to make the background behind the guitar, I put all the different stamps together on the same block. How quick is that!! I love that you can do that.

This card actually uses a new In Color called Poppy Parade along with Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy and So Saffron. I love how core colors and In Colors work so well together.

Just Believe

Here's a very simple card incorporating some of the old colors with a new color. I used Night of Navy, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight for this card. The main image is colored with the markers directly on to the stamp then stamped.

Cottage Garden

Another new set I got was Cottage Garden. This card uses Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze were In Colors a couple of years ago and were brought back as core colors now. The brown on this card is Chocolate Chip. Love these colors together.

Style Beautiful #2

This card is a little out of my comfort zone. I'm not the vintagey card maker. I was inspired by a card from a fellow demonstrator friend in Washington DC.

This card uses the new In Color Blushing Bride for the card base. I then layered on Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. Added a little sponging with Early Espresso and some paper piercing to give it that vintage look.

I'm real happy how this turned out.

Style Beautiful

This card is made with a new vintagey set called Style Beautiful. I love that Baja Breeze came back and is now a core color. I also used Very Vanilla and Basic Gray for this card. The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes, that is a Stampin'Up! exclusive hostess set and can only be earned by having a Personal Creative session (workshop).

Contact me soon to set up your night of fun with friends and family to learn how to make this card or anything from past posts. Check out the great hostess special from the next post. What an easy way to get FREE stuff!!!

Word Play #2

Another very simple card using the Word Play set.

Word Play

How simple is this? But I think if I were to receive this I would still love it. The DSP used on this one is the Blueberry Crisp along with Pacific Point and Sahara Sand. Love it!!

1 more Aviary card

As you can see I was kind of stuck on the Riding Hood Red to try and make cards with this set. This card uses the Pinking Hearts border punch, which I haven't used a lot since it came out. This card also uses the Perfect Punches set for the sentiment.

Aviary meets Perfect Punches

Here's a fun card I put together playing with the Aviary stamp set. Have you ever seen bird cages stacked up like this? I even used a jumbo brad, which I forgot I even had, on this card to put the ribbon through. This card uses Riding Hood Red. Love that SU brought that red back.

Butterfly Prints #3

Here is my final card so far using the stamp set Butterfly Prints. When I punched the butterfly out it needed something behind it so I punched out a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Wide oval punch. Love how this turned out.

I was on a roll the other day, so I have lots of new samples to show you over the next 2 weeks or so. So come back tomorrow for another new set.
