2nd post today - can you handle it?!!!

I looked at the technique challenge on Splitcoast stampers today and thought it would be fun to try. It was to make a card using the technique Paper Tole with a twist, NO FLOWERS! So I had to rummage through my stamp sets to see what I could use. A friend is having a baby soon and I thought this was perfect.

It takes patience and time to make cards like this, but the results are so worth it. I sponged around the edges of the main image and the sentiment with Pretty in Pink ink to soften it up. The pieces of the carriage are popped up with dimensionals. The stitching you see is actually a stamp from a set called 'All in a Row' which I just got the other day. I just love it. It's probably the only stamp I will use from that set. LOL. So much easier than drawing lines using a marker. Here is a side view of the carriage:

As you can see I stamped the carriage a couple of times on to Pretty in Pink card stock and cut out different parts and layered them with dimensionals to give it a 3-D effect.

Supplies used for this card are:
Fun & Fast Notes stamp set
All in a Row stamp set
Whisper White card stock
Spring Fling DSP
Pretty in Pink card stock & ink pad
Pink Taffeta ribbon
Basic Black ink
Sage Shadow ink
Regal Rose marker
Word Window punch
Sponge

I think that's it for today, I need a rest. My daughter was sick with the stomach flu all weekend and I have been nursing her back to health. She did go to school today and I haven't heard anything from her teacher yet, so no news is good news.

Anyway, have a great rest of the day and thanks for stopping!
