Weekend Sketch Challenge #42

Here is my take of Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #42. Right when I saw the sketch I knew what I wanted to do with it.

I used the textured Soft Sky card stock for the card base because I knew I wanted to use the Afternoon Tea DSP, which has Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi in it, from the Occasions Mini catalog for this project. I wasn't sure what color I wanted to layer with, but when I started watercoloring the flowers and flower pot, I knew it would be Basic Gray.

I stamped the pot of flowers twice on Whisper White and cut one out completely and then cut out a couple flowers here and there to make it 3-D. I cut out Basic Gray and Soft Sky circles with my coluzzle smaller than my pot of flowers. I tied a piece of Basic Gray taffeta ribbon around these circles and tied a knot. I then mounted the flower pot onto the circles with dimensionals and mounted the flowers that I had cut out matching them up with the bouquet, with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped with Wild Wasabi on Whisper White card stock and glued inside a Pewter hodgepodge piece and mounted with Pewter hodgepodge brads. The dotted dry embossing was done with the crop-a-dile.

I started putting it all together but it still needed something. So I took my white gel pen and made a stitching design around all the Basic Gray layers even the circle. Oh yea, I colored in the centers of all the flowers with the white gel pen also.

Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!
