August Stamp Club

Well last night was my first stamp club workshop for the new catalog! We had so much fun! Here are the projects that we made. Of course we had to use the Sizzix machine for one of them. Let me know what you think.

This card was inspired by a fellow demonstrator I had the pleasure of meeting this past spring. Kimberly VanDiepen is a fabulous stamper and a hoot! Go check out her blog in the column to the right. This card uses the new set called Inspired by Nature and new In Colors - Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. They also got to learn how to use the crop-a-dile with a jumbo brad. Even though they couldn't purchase the Sizzix machine yet it was good to let them use it, now they have another month to save up to purchase it and I know a few of them were interested. They said it cut through the cardstock like butter!

This is a gift card holder. It is a standard size card. This is using the new set Sock Monkey. The card base is Kraft card stock and Riding Hood Red. My upline got me hooked on the Kraft. But it's perfect for this monkey. We stamped the monkey 3 times, once on the Natural White, once on another piece of Kraft and once more on Riding Hood Red. We then cut everything out and pieced it back together to make the monkey. The balloon was then stamped on Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red and Pacific Point and cut out. The strings are just paper piercing. After we mounted the monkey to the front of the card, we used the large oval punch to see the sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of natural white and punched out with the small oval punch and mounted to the inside of the card using dimensionals. I just slipped my business card inside to show how it works. They loved this card even though it was a little more time consuming to make.

Thanks for stopping today!
