Stamp club projects

I hope you are enjoying my MDS scrapbook pages, but I thought you might like to see what we did for stamp club last night, which by the way was a lot of fun! Thanks Janet for hosting it at your house instead of mine for a change! LOL

It felt good to stamp again too. Janet asked that we do birthday cards, one for a girl and one for a boy. Here is what I came up with. I did start with some inspiration from a demonstrator forum called 'Stampin' Connections'.

The first card, which is the 'girl' card, uses some new product from the Occasions mini.

The cupcake was made using the wonderful new punch called Build a Cupcake (121807 - $16.95). For the bottom of the cupcake, I ran a piece of Early Espresso through the crimper first then punched it out to make it look like a cupcake paper.

The 'frosting' uses the new 'Glimmer paper' (121790 - $3.95). Love it! The glitter does not come off at all. It's easy to punch through too. And what girl doesn't like a little bling!!

I left the little tag open so the age could be stamped or written on it.

Other products used are:

Early Espresso cardstock - (119686 - $6.95)
Real Red cardstock - (102482 - $6.95)
Very Vanilla cardstock - (101650 - $8.50)
Jolly Holiday DSP - (117159 - $9.95) - it's not just for Christmas !!!
Early Espresso classic ink - (119670 - $5.95)
Real Red brads - (119740 - $6.95) - comes as part of Brights collection
Eyelet Border punch - (119853- $15.95)
Modern Label punch - (119849 - $16.95)
Jewelry Tag punch - (117190 - $10.95)
Party this Way clear stamp set - (120609 - $11.95)
Stampin' Dimensionals - (104430 - $3.95)

The second card, which is the 'boy' card, uses products from the main Idea Book & Catalog:

Can you guess what the silver paper is? Aluminum foil!!! Yes, when you run a piece through the bigshot, the embossing comes out great! What a great way to add 'chrome' to a guy card! What guy doesn't like chrome!

For this card I used:

Garden Green cardstock - (102584 - $6.95)
More Mustard cardstock - (100946 - $6.95)
Basic Black cardstock - (121045 - $6.95)
Whisper White cardstock - (100730 - $8.50)
Garden Green classic ink - (102272 - $5.95)
More Mustard classic ink - (103162 - $5.95)
Basic Black classic ink - (101179 - $5.95)
Extreme Elements stamp set - (115181 - $26.95)
Extreme Guitar stamp - (115328 - $8.95)
Perfect Punches clear stamp set - (120516 - $17.95)
Stampin' Dimensionals - (104430 - $3.95)
